Next Level Faith

How's your faith?

The Bible tells us that faith is the key to pleasing God (Hebrews 11:6). It's also one of the keys to a peaceful and productive life. Faith connects us to God and to all the gifts and blessings He wants to give us.

One of the best ways to grow faith is by focusing on God's nature and character. When we realize who He really is, our faith goes to new levels.

Here's a way to remember some of the key qualities of God's nature and character that will build and strengthen your faith.

God is:

F = Faithful.

To be faithful is to be reliable in character. It describes someone who can always be counted on to do what they say and fulfill what they've promised.

God is faithful. He's completely reliable. He'll never let you down.

A = Available and approachable.

It's incredible to think that the God of the universe, the Almighty Creator, has made Himself available to us. He invites us to approach Him with whatever problems, pains, needs and concerns we have.

I = Interested.

God is not only available and approachable, He's also interested. He actually pays close attention to us when we come to Him. He's touched by the things we bring to Him.

T = Trustworthy.

When we come to God with our needs, we can trust that He knows what's best for us. He's a God of integrity, love, grace and mercy. He'll never lead us astray or leave us alone. Even in the dark moments, when we can't see Him at work or feel His presence, we can trust that He's with us, advancing His perfect plan for us.

H = Helpful.

Helpful” seems like a significantly understated word when it comes to describing God. We tend to use it to describe the minimal or moderate assistance someone provides us. But when it comes to God, the word takes on a whole new meaning. God is “helpful,” He's “full of help.” He intervenes, acts, and empowers. He actively works on our behalf.

God is a Savior, Healer, Deliverer, Emancipator, Redeemer! All of these titles point to the powerful help God gives to people who look to Him.

Take a look at how the writer of Hebrews describes all of these qualities of God, provided for us through His Son, Jesus Christ:

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same of testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. — Hebrews 4:14-16 (NLT)

Do you want to take your faith to a new level? Remember who God is. He is faithful, available and approachable, interested, trustworthy and full of help. Have faith in God!
