Communication is the life-blood of relationships.  When you increase the frequency and intimacy of communication with someone you deepen and grow the relationship with them. The same is true in your relationship with God.  Spending time talking to God and reflecting on His Word deepens and grows your relationship with Him.  During Jesus’ time on earth He made daily time with His Father a priority.  It connected Him to God’s wisdom and power.  If Jesus desired and needed this, we do too.  Set a regular, daily time with God and you’ll soon see the difference it makes in your life!
